Partnering & Licensing
We plan to leverage our valuable research and development assets through strategic collaborations and partnerships with other biotech and pharmaceutical companies. In order to achieve the fastest "time-to-market" possible for our drugs, and maximize global market penetration, we continually assess our drug candidates to determine the optimal development and commercialization strategy for each. While we intend to retain development responsibility and marketing rights to many of our drug candidates through late stage development, we will seek to form collaborations or partnerships earlier in the cycle when we believe that the development costs far outweigh our ability to fund them.
We would expect that alliances with partners will partially or fully fund development costs and provide us with substantial license fees and milestone payments, in addition to ongoing post-commercialization royalties, allowing us to pursue internal development activities on other product candidates.
